Move to Be Strong​ is a fun, uplifting seated exercise routine.  The song & lyrics were composed by Henry & Susan Boon with a clear message...NO we won't let COVID bring us down!  Learn the routine and the lyrics and follow along with your VON SMART fitness friends.
Stay active, stay strong, keep moving.


Bob, a senior himself, is a trained senior fitness and yoga instructor.  This chair yoga practice is a gentle way to stay strong, flexible and relaxed.  There is also a balance component which is important to prevent falls.
Remember to think about your posture and breathing throughout this session. Go at your own pace.


Susan has been a VON SMART Instructor for over 6 years!  This seated exercise session incorporates a gentle warm up, cardio, ball exercises and standing balance.  Join Susan as she motivates you to get your body moving for the next 30 minutes. Be sure to go at your own pace, use a sturdy chair.


To improve focus, balance and spatial awareness. The Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines recommends Tai Chi for balance and as an intervention to prevent falls.



​Meghan is our Registered Kinesiologist for the VON SMART program.  Featured in this video, Meghan facilitates gentle balance exercises.  Challenging our balance is an important step in the prevention of falls.
